Lynne Lomofsky
Lynne is a Cape Town based artist and art educator with over 30 years experience working across painting, drawing, textiles and installation. Inspired by the natural world that surrounds her home in Muizenberg, her current practice focuses on intimate mixed-media paintings of wild and garden flowers that grow in that location, exploring their shapes, patterns and colours. After a long health struggle, Lynne has lost a portion of her visual field. This imbues her paintings with a wonderful quirky balance between the beauty of what she so carefully observes and the fragility of the human who does the observing.
